theory

I can’t speak for all majors, but this is a theory I have developed after having observed people in my education classes:

If you find yourself referring to others in your major as “over-achievers” when they do beyond what was required of them, you might need to reevaluate your choice of career path. Their desire to exceed the necessary is an exceptional attribute and shows their dedication and passion for the field. There is no such thing as an over-achieving education student. There are only students who will be remarkable teachers.

You are not in high school anymore. Going the extra mile helps YOU, not your grade.

Think about it. Whether or not your major is education, if this theory can apply to your field of study, please explore your feelings towards what you have to do and what you want to do.
